so near yet so far..

A heavy downpour came down on us yesterday afternoon.. Sis and I were waiting for bus at Clementi bus interchange and the heavy rain juz came down on us without warning.
Well, when the bus 106 came, we boarded the bus.
Talk about shitty luck.
Just when we were about to alight at the bus stop opposite our place, the rain got heavier.
We were trapped. No where to go as the rain came in. Just opposite our place, but no way to get to it. SO near yet SO far...

*btw, I really feel that SBS/Translink or whatever it is called now, should consider changing the design of their buses. They should design some extension or sorts to help keep the rain out of the way while the commuters board the bus. We literally had to run, hop and jump out of rain's way.
Oh yes, bus stops should not be just a place for people to wait for their buses. it should also be a place for people to run to to get out of rain or watever weather elements (Eg. wind, wind + rain)!

Anyway, the rain came in and we were all drenched and cold and everything pathetic.
Sis and I had to huddle together to try to keep ourselves 'dry' in the bad weather.
After being trapped at the bus stop for close to 15minutes, we decided to take a risk.

I had bought a piece of 3metre cloth from Clementi earlier and we figured it will be worth a try.
And you guess it, WE RAN with the piece of silvery purplish cloth over our heads!!
We ran up, across and down the overhead bridge, and just when we thought it can't get any worse, we met a lady whom was previously also stuck at the bus stop. Ya ya.. she had an umbrella and just like any other Singaporean, she walked away without offering any help.
She saw us running like runaways from IMH and she sniggered. how horrible can people be.
Anyway we just ran like crazy till we reached our block.

what a crazy afternoon. gosh.
i hope nobody i know saw me.
i think even if they saw me, they won't recognise me. so auntie. :S

ahhh...
