mid-autumn~

Jeanette & I helped out by being the emcees for the Mid-Autumn Night Celebrations held in school.. coz the Mingzhu sisters were invited for the event, we kinda decided to go slightly retro and wear seriously bright-until-blind dresses for the night..
so that night, Jeanette wore her lovely body-hugging blue dress while I wore an orange dress kindly lent to me by Jeanette.. I think this is the brightest ever outfit I've ever wore.. one of my colleagues said to me "Wah Jane.. I've nv seen u in such a bright dress b4".. and my reply was "i oso nv see myself in such a bright dress b4!" haha..
photos for memory sake.. prob wun dare to wear such a bright colour in the future liao!

food danger~

The Singapore's Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority said that samples of White Rabbit-brand Creamy Candy imported from China were contaminated with melamine, an industrial chemical that can cause kidney stones and lead to kidney failure.

Sale and import of all Chinese milk and dairy products has been suspended after finding melamine in samples of a Yili-brand yogurt bar and Dutch Lady-brand strawberry milk manufactured in China. The ban includes milk, ice cream, yogurt, chocolate, biscuits and candy, as well as any other products containing milk from China as an ingredient.

Nowadays, everything seems to be running into trouble, even my favourite childhood candy - White rabbit candy. sigh..

Yeeling's Wedding!

It's Yeeling's wedding on 13th Sept (Sat) and she held hers at Park Hotel @Orchard. :)
It's a lovely place and Jeanette, Jaron, Ben and I arrived earlier cos Jeanette's one of Yeeling's emcee for the night. So Ben & I were there to try to ''babysit'' Jaron when Mummy's busy.

well... all I can say is, we tried... haha... we went to buy those little bun biscuits for him.. and luckily, they worked! haha.. but those were really junk food to Jaron~
We went up to the bridal suite to look for the lovely bride! She was already dressed in her sexy red gown showing her sexy long legs! She was having her dinner and we quickly settled down and Jeanette got on with her duty while Ben & I tried to humour little Jaron with biscuits. haha.. and though the biscuits kinda did distract Jaron a little, he needed his Mummy to be within his sight. ^-^
Soon, we went down to the ballroom for the sound test and to test out the montage.. luckily so, coz after which, we din really get to see the montage after that already coz we were seated at Table 12, which was along the long ballroom aisle, but very far from the screen right in front.

Nevertheless, soon, by around 7+, the guests started streaming in and we were all seated, ready for the solemnisation to begin! :) vows were exchanged, the JP did his part by giving the newlyweds tips on how to maintain a loving marriage. :) then Yeeling went to change into her gorgeous gown! the dinner was lovely, the couple was loving and absolutely gorgeous and handsome, and the people I sat with were super! we had a lot of fun and this is definitely one of the best weddings I've attended so far!!

Us having FUN!!

us STILL having fun!!
Think the Yeeling & Benny had FUN too!! *wink~

to share...

"Ham & egg - a day's work for a chicken, a lifetime commitment for a pig"

This caught my eye immediately. How true...

juz for fun~

"Daddy, I'm in love..."

I came across this article on yahoo news.. researchers found that men tend to wind up with life partners who look like their mother, while a woman is lured to a partner who looks like her father.

A man's lover and his mother tended to have similar fullness in the lips, width of mouth, as well as length and width of jaw.
But for women, the critical features were the distance between mouth and brow, the height of the face, distance between the eyes and the size of a man's nose.

so let's say this next time...
"Daddy, I'm in love... and he looks just like you!"

^o^

our big 10~

2 Sept 1998.. 2 Sept 2008...

we celebrated our anniversary yesterday.. but this time with a new identity and status.. it's a different feeling.. but it's almost like a new start. ending the dating with 10 years and starting a married life together.. as sw is studying, I was tasked to plan this year's dinner date. haha.. well I tried my best to keep it as best a secret as possible but alas, the smart boy somehow still managed to guess where we are headed to for dinner..

we went to Wild Rockets @Mt Emily's for dinner.. the setting is somewhat similar to Mandai Orchid Garden.. relaxing and cozy... :)
the food was alright and the person sitting with me is the right one.. i'm blessed:)

in bliss~

Teachers' Day dinner~

As usual, our school's teachers' day dinner was held in our fully air-conditioned school hall. minus the children, the hall seemed quieter and actually smaller. like the years before, we had caterers coming in to bring us an 8-course dinner. and the waitresses' skirts seem to keep getting shorter and shorter! haha.. the dishes are almost the same every year but this year, the fish tastes a lot fresher! haha... we had our annual teachers' day lucky draw and I won something this year!!

I got the 13th prize but coz the prize is a stainless steel pot and frankly I have no use for it at home since I don't really cook much, I asked Jeanette if she'll need it more.. and she said yes! haha... so i happily gave her the prize! it's a deal that I can go to her place to enjoy her cooking using the pot! yeah!

then later on, Huilin oso got a prize!! - think it's an toaster oven (or something like that)..
and since Huilin is not married yet and dun need it, she gave it to Jeanette too!!
woohoo! what a fruitful teachers' day dinner it was for Jeanette and Jason!
:)

the prize!

its proud new owners!!

SV cultural night

We stayed back after school on a Friday night for the SV cultural night.
Apart from the food and fun, the organising committee actually planned to set the Singapore book of record for the most number of people playing chapteh at one time.

evidence that we stayed behind to play chapteh!

my record is 2 hits w/o dropping! hahaha... :p

...............and so we did! :)
