Food tasting~*

Anna, Yueli, Guangwei and Shan came over to the new house yesterday for mahjong session. As it was the first time coming to my new place, we all decided to buy 4D on my door number #16-18.
We bought the tix at the TOTO/4D booth near my place... but sad.. the number didn't come up eventually...

never mind.. next time buy again!

Yesterday my long awaited COACH bag came.. thanks to Shan! :) It's my first branded bag bought by myself for myself! Excited!! :) But it's so ex.... most likely won't spend that kind of $$ on a bag in the near future.. it's ex but nice! ^-^

Anna mentioned about finding the ''robert'' spot in the house... I think I found it. haha... I think it's facing the kitchen, back facing the TV.. haha... After playing mahjong for the afternoon, we left for Merchant Court for our food tasting..

Outside the Elmwood Room, we saw our names on the poster outside and again on the menu inside the room.. Then it kinda struck me hard! like it's really happening! the wedding is not that long after... oh gosh! jitters!!

On the table inside, we saw wedding favours which we could choose from.. there was a heart-shaped design shower gel, a round rose-designed candle and a pair of bride & groom notepad.
Our parents liked the shower gel and the candle more than the notepad but we found the notepad more useful... so we are still of two minds..

Watching both mine and shengwang's parents talk about the bethroval and other details was indeed an eyeopener. My mum did most of the talking while dad focussed more on the food. haha.. but I knew he was listening to the conversations as he has already perfected the art of evesdropping while doing something else. hahaha... so typical of him la!

Deep in discussion...

Anyway, talking about food.. The food was great! The prawns and scallops are so fresh, they juz melt in the mouth! But surprisingly, the cold dish & the sharks' fins din taste that nice.. but overall, it's yummy! love their service level too! Hopefully during the actual wedding banquet, their food and service would be juz as good! :)

After a few dishes, Rayston came into the function room and he showed us a few invitation card designs. Dear and I couldn't agree on the colour of the card.. so I tot of showing the parents and getting their opinions on the colour.. and they agreed with me!! So it'll be an ivory coloured card~ Rayston also told us that there was a wedding there that night so we can pop by later on to see the decorated reception area and as well as the decorated ballroom. So after dinner, we stood outside the ballroom and watched as the waiters served their first dish to the guests... Loved their 1st dish music, so we are most likely not using our initial 1st dish song "Witch doctor" and instead using the one provided by the hotel. The decorations are quite nice, so most likely could be using the garden theme and not the romance theme, else it'll be too red especially since my evening gown is red too! >.<" Too RED le! anyway, can't wait for April to come, so I can go and choose my teadress/kua, and then get settled on the invitation cards.. :)

excited~ jitters~ everything all rolled into 1~ ahhh!!!

p/s: Dad din like the idea of having tin cans tied to the back of the bridal car... so there goes my wish~ sobs...

no more....

Bridesmaids~

Joanne, Wendy, Yeeling, Fion & I met up for a jiemeis' gathering on Good Friday last week. Joanne's wedding is in May and she gave us a breakfast dim sum treat at Warren's country club @cck.

We had so much fun discussing about the gatecrashing process. Everyone shared whatever interesting and cruel ideas they have and we consolidated it into a list of fun things for the groom and his buddies to do.
It will definitely be an 'unforgettable' wedding day!! haha..

Fion was especially serious about her role. She was the secretary for the "meeting" and so she minuted down everything and even said she will type and print out for all of us. I can't wait for Joanne's wedding~!

100% CFM it will be a very fun day! (for the jiemeis!!) ;)

Let our ''powers'' combine!

tailor-make dresses - stage1

As I've always wanted my jiemeis to dress in similar coloured dresses for my wedding, the girls and I met up yesterday afternoon to go to the tailor shop @Tanjong Pagar Plaza. We roughly had an idea what kind of dress designs we don't want and what we liked, so we browsed through some dress designs in magazines there and we had the tailor lady, Sharon draw it out for us and take measurements. It's not exactly simple as we had to decide on some of the detailings that we want to have on our dresses and there are so many designs to choose from!!

But alas, we chose our designs and went to Arab street to get the cloth.. We wanted to go to People's Park there to see cloth, but we decided to go Arab street first instead and in the end we bought the cloth from there..

Cloth galore!
Deep in discussion~
Say cheeseeeee.... :)
Really appreciate the help and effort of the girls! :)
Now we juz need to get the quotation from the tailor~
