When is one happier?

Mum asked, "When is one happier? When one is going away for holiday or when one comes back from the trip?"

Good question.. that got me thinking.
Sis went for Outward Bound adventure camp thingy in Korea. She seems so happy. So looking forward to the trip but mum kept saying dunno why she must go so far for an adventure.
Oh well.. of course it's cool! Going to korea where it's snowing, going mountain climbing etc and when life is tough. It's so exciting and most definitely adventurous!

To answer mum's question. I think it's both happy.
When going away for holiday, you can let your hair down, really relax and have fun. In a faraway land, nobody knows who I am, and nobody cares. I can be noisy, act crazily and be in a chirpy holiday mood. Of course I'd feel happy.

But after being away from home for some time, I'd miss home. Miss the humid weather in Singapore, miss Daddy's cooking and most definitely being in the company of family. So again of course I'd feel happy to come home.
But then again, coming home means eventually having to revert back to the normal working routine. Humid weather, noisy and rowdy kids, raising my voice in class, rushing to complete syllabus, mark books.. etc

Oh well... life is like that.

But I still look forward to going back to school to teach.. hee.. life's a dilemma
