tiring day

this evening, after a hard day's work at our new house, we decided to go for a nice dinner.
sw suddenly had this craving for Seoul Garden, but coz I'm not really for it, I suggested maybe eating at PS since we need to go Spotlight too. But then, sw kinda still feels like eating something korean, so he suggested going to this Korean BBQ somewhere off West Coast road (i think).

Anyway, we walked in and sat down. They presented us with the menu and we got a shock of our lives. We've never tried Korean cuisine before and we knew nuts about Korean food culture. And oh what a shock we got.
It's charcoal bbq, so the menu had plates of meat, and prawns. We looked so lost just simply looking at the menu. it was so embarrassing. We contemplated leaving the restaurant, but decided to give it a try in the end.

We ordered a plate of chicken meat and pork. We had absolutely no idea what the hell we were doing and eating. We were then served plates and bowls of kimchi, beans, some soupy thing and tofu, and a LONG tray of lots of salad vegetables. We absolutely had no idea what we were supposed to do, so we kept eating our rice and looking at the angmohs, trying to figure out how the hell to eat the plates of food on our table.

Then they started to bbq the meat for us and while we were eating the food happily, we both discovered we were having a super hard time trying to use the metal chopsticks. So difficult to use! the food that we picked up, kept dropping!! So malu.

When it was finally time to go, the waiter came to us and told us to use the wet tissue. he pointed at this 2 cute mentos looking thing.
I stared at it and said 'what? where? "
And almost instantly, the waiter poured some water into the plate with the 2 mentos thingy and it literally GREW TALLER!

I stared in amazement!
SW couldn't help but laugh at my reaction. i bet the waiter muz be thinking wat a mountain tortoise i am.but it's seriously unbelieveable.

anyway we paid and left the restaurant.

I guess we probably won't go there again.
Din exactly know what we are eating and hence din exactly enjoy the food either.

But for some reason, the restaurant is packed with people.

btw, if you're wondering what we were doing the whole day... here it is!
